LONDON (ICIS)--BASF Sonatrach PropanChem’s (BSP’s) joint venture propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Tarragona, Spain, is down for maintenance because of planned and unplanned maintenance requirements, the company said on Thursday.
The unit was taken off line two weeks earlier than planned, because of technical problems. The overall duration of the turnaround is expected to last for around 45 days.
The nameplate capacity of the PDH unit in Tarragona is 350,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects database.
BASF Sonatrach PropanChem is a 50:50 joint venture between Germany’s BASF and Algerian oil and gas producer Sonatrach.
