SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation plans to shutdown its 32,000 tonnes/year maleic anhydride (MA) plant at Mizushima in Okayama prefecture in mid-June to mid-July for maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
Mitsubishi will build up inventory prior to the shutdown to maintain supply to the domestic market, the source said.
Separately other Japanese MA producer, Nippon Shokubai, will be having its MA plant maintenance from end-March to April.
