Japan’s Mitsubishi Chem to shut oxo-alcohols facility mid-May

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical will shut its 250,000 tonne/year oxo-alcohols unit at Mizushima in the middle of May for its annual turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

The company will shut the unit for maintenance from mid-May to early-July, the source said.

The facility is able to produce around 150,000 tonne/year of 2-EH and 100,000 tonne/year of NBA.
