SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Tikkurila’s net loss contracted to €4.6m ($6.1m) in the fourth quarter of 2012, compared with a net loss of €5m in the same period a year earlier, the Finland-based decorative paints firm said on Friday.
The company’s revenue increased by 2.2% to €121.8m, while its operating loss excluding non-recurring items was €3.2m, Tikkurila said in a statement.
For the full year 2012, the company’s net profit rose by 14.3% year on year to €40.6m while revenue was up by 4.4% at €671.8m, the company said.
Tikkurila expects its revenue and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) excluding non-recurring items for the financial year 2013 to remain at 2012 level, the company added.
