SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shanxi Jintaoyuan (Group) Co Ltd plans to invest yuan (CNY) 2.2bn ($353m) to build a cylohexanone unit and a caprolactam plant in Shanxi province, a source close to the company said on Monday.
The proposed cyclohexanone unit will have a 200,000 tonne/year capacity, while the coal-based capro unit will have the same capacity, the source said.
Timeline for construction has yet to be set, the source said, adding that environmental assessment for the project is ongoing.
Shanxi Jintaoyuan is a diversified company engaged in raw coal exploration, coke production, magnesium metal smelting and trading.
