MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Shiny Chemical Industrial plans to restart its butyl acetate (butac) plant in Kaohsiung on 19 February, a company official said on Monday.
The producer took its 60,000 tonne/year normal butac/iso-butac/normal propyl acetate swing plant off line on 7 February to stem excess output over the Lunar New Year holiday period.
"Feeding of raw material will start [on 19 February]," the official said.
The Lunar New Year in Taiwan fell on 9-17 February in 2013.
