SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Sanmu Group restarted its 220,000 tonne/year epoxy resins plant in Jiangsu province, China, on 16 February, and is operating at 70-80% capacity, a company source said on Tuesday.

The plant was shut during the Lunar New Year holiday on 9-15 February, the source said.

Domestic sales have resumed but offers of exports are still withheld. The producer would like to monitor the post-holiday prices of feedstocks bisphenol A (BPA) and epichlorohydrin (ECH) before deciding on its offer, the source said.

The domestic offers of drummed epoxy resins were heard at yuan (CNY) 19,500-19,700/tonne ($3,120-3,152/tonne) DEL (delivered) in east China, according to industry players, slightly higher than the prices assessed at CNY18,900-19,500/tonne DEL in east China during the week ended 5 February.
