SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Petrochemical has delayed the restart of its 250,000 tonne/year and 300,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE)/ linear low density PE (LLDPE) swing plants at Daqing to March from February, a company source said on Tuesday.
However, the source did not say why the restart was being delayed.
Market sources said the plants may be brought back on line by the middle of next month.
The plants in Daqing city of Heilongjiang province were taken off line on 30 November following an outage of the company’s cracker as a result of fire, initially for two months.
