Saudi Arabia’s SEPC expected to delay March PE plants turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi Ethylene & Polyethylene Co (SEPC) is expected to postpone its scheduled turnaround from March to a later date, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

SEPC operates a 400,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) unit and a 400,000 tonne/year high density PE (HDPE) plant in Al Jubail.

The reason for the postponement is not known, according to the source.

The source added that the new date for the turnaround is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
