SINGAPORE (ICIS)--PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) plans to shut its low density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low density PE (LLDPE) plants at Map Ta Phut, Thailand, for scheduled maintenance, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.
Its 300,000 tonne/year LDPE unit is to be shut at the end of March for 10 days, and its 400,000 tonne/year LLDPE plant is scheduled to be shut in the second week of May for 20 days, the source said.
The maintenance was unlikely to affect the regional demand-supply balance because of their short durations, regional traders said.
