Belarus fertilizer exports in 2012 fall year on year

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Belarus official statistics indicated on Wednesday that the country's exports of potash and nitrogen fertilizers in 2012 were down year on year.

In 2012, Belarus exported 3.67m tonnes of potash, down 21.9% year on year, said Belarus statistical agency Belstat.

Data also showed that the average export price of potash reached $727/tonne (€545/tonne), up 2% year on year.

Belarus exports of nitrogen fertilizers amounted to 235,300 tonnes, down 27.2% year on year, Belstat added, while the average export price amounted to $834/tonne, a fall of 11% year on year.
