LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Thursday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS. CRUDE: April WTI: $93.85/bbl, down $1.37/bbl. April BRENT: $114.20/bbl, down $1.40/bbl
Prices continued to slide under pressure from a strong US dollar and growing US oil stocks.
NAPHTHA: $992-994/tonne, down $8/tonne.
The cargo range slipped as the effects of lower crude oil values overrode those of a firmer crack spread. March swaps were assessed at $956-958/tonne.
BENZENE: $1,375-1,400/tonne, steady
February was quiet and the range was unchanged so far, as falling Brent futures kept players on the sidelines. Offers for March were at $1,410/tonne.
STYRENE: $1,725-1,740/tonne, steady
February bids and offers were steady in a quiet market. A deal was done yesterday at $1,740/tonne. March traded at $1,735/tonne this morning, and the range was valued at $1,730-1,745/tonne. There was a deal for April delivery done at $1,742/tonne.
