US jet fuel consumption drops by 9.9%, inventories gain

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US jet fuel inventories moved higher for the week ended 15 February, while consumption fell, a government agency’s report showed on Thursday.

Jet fuel consumption was at 1.263m bbl/day, 138,000 bbl/day lower, for the week ended 15 February, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Stockpiles increased by 700,000 bbl to 39.5m bbl that same week.

Meanwhile, production rates had little change, gaining 7,000 bbl/day to reach 1.443m bbl/day, the EIA said.
