SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s OCI is restarting its 20,000 tonne/year No 1 phthalic anhydride (PA) unit at Pohang on 22 February, later in the evening, after completing its maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
The plant was shut on 17 February for schedule maintenance, the source said.
OCI will have 300-400 tonnes of March-loading PA material for export sales, and its selling idea is at $1,540/tonne (€1,170/tonne) FOB (free on board) Korea, the source said.
The company’s No 2 PA unit, which has a capacity of 20,000 tonnes/year, will undergo plant maintenance in April, the source added.
