LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Monday's midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.
CRUDE: April WTI: $93.98/bbl, up 85 cents/bbl. April BRENT: $115.43/bbl, up $1.33/bbl
Crude oil futures gained on Monday on the back of a firmer euro. Prices also rose after data showed China slashed its Iranian crude imports, indicating that the country will source supplies from elsewhere.
NAPHTHA: $996-998/tonne, up $22/tonne.
The cargo range was driven upwards from Friday afternoon by higher crude oil prices and a stronger crack spread. March swaps were assessed at $976-977/tonne.
BENZENE: $1,385-1,400/tonne, up $5-15/tonne
March opened firmer alongside higher Brent futures and an increasingly bullish outlook among Asian benzene players for the months ahead. April was in contango at $1,390-1,410/tonne.
STYRENE: $1,740-1,760/tonne, up $10/tonne on the sell side
March offers were higher this morning in line with benzene. April was valued at $1,750-1,760/tonne.
