SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fujian Southeast Electrochemical plans to shut its 130,000 dry metric tonne (dmt)/year caustic soda plant in Fujian on 12 April, a company source said on Wednesday.
The maintenance shutdown will last for half a month and the plant will be restarted on 26 April, the source added.
The prices in Fujian were assessed on 27 February at yuan (CNY) 860-870/tonne ($138-140/tonne) DEL (delivered) for 32% liquid membrane caustic soda and at CNY1,304-1,345/tonne DEL for 48% liquid membrane caustic soda, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
