India’s Reliance on track to start up Jamnagar cracker in H1 2015

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indian petrochemical and refining major Reliance Industries (RIL) is on track to start up its new refinery offgases-based cracker at Jamnagar, Gujarat, in the first half of 2015, said a source close to the company on Wednesday.

The cracker, based on technology from Technip, could come on stream as early as May 2015, he said.

It has the capacity to produce 1.4-1.6m tonnes/year of ethylene.
