BRISBANE, Australia (ICIS)--China’s methyl methacrylate (MMA) imports in January increased by 26.7% from December, official statistics showed on Wednesday.
The country imported 21,095 tonnes of MMA in January, according to China Customs data.
MMA import prices in January averaged $2,069/tonne (€1,593/tonne), representing a 1.9% decline from the previous month, the data showed.
Downstream demand for MMA finished products remained weak amid China’s slowing economy, market players said.
