NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Wednesday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: April WTI: $92.82/bbl, up 19 cents/bbl. April BRENT: $112.99/bbl, up 28 cents/bbl
Crude oil futures markets were bullish on Wednesday amid an unexpected production slowdown in the North Sea Buzzard oil field.

NAPHTHA: $986-988/tonne, down $1/tonne
The cargo range edged down from Tuesday afternoon as a result of slightly lower crude oil prices. March swaps were assessed at $953-955/tonne

BENZENE: $1,370-1,390/tonne, widening
Bids for March cargo were at $1,370/tonne this morning, but not met with any firm offers so far. April was valued higher at $1,380-1,405/tonne.

STYRENE: $1,720-1,735/tonne, up $5/tonne on the sell side
March traded on Tuesday 26 February at $1,720/tonne and $1,735/tonne. The market opened this morning reasonably steady from last night’s close. April traded several times at $1,740/tonne.
