SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Shanghai-based Wison Offshore & Marine said late on Thursday it will build mobile barged-mounted natural gas liquefactions facilities in the US for two firms, EDF Trading and Belgium-headquartered Exmar NV.

Under an agreement, Wison will be responsible for the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) for the mobile, self-contained units.

“The aim would be to bring mobile, self-contained liquefaction units to LNG import terminals in the US using existing pipeline, tank and jetty infrastructure to enable LNG export,” EDF Trading said in an earlier statement on its website.

Wison Offshore & Marine is the upstream oil and gas division of the Wison Group of China.

The statement did not give financial details and project timeline.
