SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s KH Neochem is on schedule to shut its oxo-alcohols facility at Yokkaichi in Mie prefecture in mid-March for its annual turnaround, a company source said on Friday.
Maintenance for the oxo-alcohols facility will complete by end-April, the source added.
“Currently, we are building up inventories ahead of the shutdown, resulting in limited availability for the spot market now,” the source said.
The oxo-alcohols facility includes a 130,000 tonne/year 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) unit and a 120,000 tonne/year n-butanol (NBA) unit.
