Canada’s Westport partners China’s ENN on LNG transportation

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Canada’s Westport Innovations said late on Thursday that it has signed an agreement with China’s ENN Group for natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation solutions and fuel for a number of applications.

Under the agreement, ENN will establish LNG infrastructure, including gas liquefaction plants and fuel stations to guarantee long-term fuelling solutions to its customers, Westport said in a statement.

The Canadian firm will facilitate collaboration between its partners and ENN and provide proposals to ENN and its fleet customers, it said.

The cooperation will cover US, Canada, China/Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa, with applications in trucks, rail, natural gas (CNG), LNG, hydrogen, and renewable natural gas (RNG) etc.marine as well as mining, according to the statement.

Westport is a global supplier of proprietary solutions that allow engines to operate on clean-burning fuels such as compressed

ENN mainly engages in gas distribution.
