LONDON (ICIS)--Germany-based Evonik will concentrate its cyanuric chloride business on its site in Wesseling from where it will supply customers in Europe, the Americas and parts of Asia, the specialty chemicals major said on Friday.

The future focus of Evonik’s cyanuric chloride activities will be on supplying international plastics, paper, textile and photovoltaics markets, it said.

At the same time, Evonik announced that its cyanuric chloride joint venture in China with Sanzheng Fine Chemicals has been dissolved by mutual agreement.

The joint venture, formed in 2005 by Evonik predecessor company Degussa, included plants in Yingkou and Chongqing, which supplied agrochemicals markets. The Chongqing site, which has been decommissioned, will remain with Evonik, it added.
