LONDON (ICIS)--Rompetrol Petrochemicals has ceased production for about five weeks to allow for maintenance work, Romania-based owner Rompetrol Group said on Monday.
The stoppage would be implemented in parallel with a shutdown of the group’s Rompetrol Rafinare Petromidia refinery where maintenance work and upgrades would be carried out, it added.
Deliveries to customers of the two producers would be made from stocks, Rompetrol Group said.
Rompetrol Petrochemical’s plants include a 100,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) installation and a 60,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) unit.
Rompetrol Group is owned by Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz (KMG).
