HOUSTON (ICIS)--A hydrocracking unit at US refiner Valero’s Port Arthur refinery in Texas is back in production, a company spokesman confirmed on Monday.
The 57,000 bbl/day hydrocracking unit, which helps refiners increase motor fuel production, is increasing to planned rates, Valero spokesman Bill Day said.
The 292,000 bbl/day refinery was shut down on 27 February after external hydrogen supply was lost, which caused a release of materials, according to a filing with the National Response Center.
