SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Beijing Yanshan plans to shut its Group I base oils plant in Beijing on 20 April for a one-month turnaround, a company source said on Tuesday.
The plant has a nameplate capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year and an actual capacity of 260,000 tonnes/year.
No spot supply of base oils will be available during the shutdown, the source said.
The company is expected to supply fewer than 500 tonnes of the material to the domestic market in March as it is building inventories in preparation for the shutdown, the source added.
