NEW YORK (ICIS)--US phthalic anhydride (PA) contract prices were rolled over in March based on the feedstock orthoxylene (OX) February contract price being settled at a rollover, sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The March PA contract prices are at 87.50-94.50 cents/lb ($1,929-2,083/tonne, €1,485-1,604/tonne) FOB molten and 88.50-95.50 cents/lb DEL flake.
The monthly US PA contract follows the movement of the OX contract price in the previous month. The US OX contract price for February is at 71.50 cents/lb FOB, said market sources.
PA is a key intermediate in the production of plasticisers, which are used to make products such as flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
