HO CHI MINH (ICIS)--Vietnam’s state-owned energy firm Petrolimex is in talks with South Korea’s Daelim Industrial to jointly build a petrochemical complex and a refinery in Khan Hoa province in central Vietnam, a local industry source said on Wednesday.
Petrolimex is a major supplier of gasoline and fuel oil, and it accounts for more than 60% of the domestic gasoline market, the source said.
Daelim Industrial has a diverse product portfolio that includes feedstocks to higher value-added petrochemicals, according to its corporate website.
Petrolimex and Daelim Industrial were not immediately available for comment.
