CHONGQING (ICIS)--China's Shandong Fangming will restart its 100,000 tonne/year caprolactam (capro) line in Shandong province around 25 March, a company official said on Thursday.
The plant at Heze city was taken off line in late February for a month of routine maintenance, Shandong Fangming head of sales Liu Yong Sheng said at the 11th China International CPL (caprolactam) & PA (polyamide) Market Forum 2013.
Shandong Fangming started up the capro line – its first – in October 2012. Its second 100,000 tonne/year line is expected to start production around end-September this year, with commercial sales due to start on 3 October, he said.
Meanwhile, its new 50,000 tonne/year downstream nylon chip line is ready for commercial production at Dongming county in Shandong province, Liu said.
Shandong Fangming also supplies synthetic chemicals such as cyclohexanone and cyclohexane.
