S Korea’s SK Energy shuts No 1 cracker for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s SK Energy shut its 190,000 tonne/year No 1 cracker at Ulsan as scheduled on 7 March for a turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

The cracker is expected to be restarted on 3 April.

SK also runs a larger 690,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at the same site but the plant is not slated for maintenance this year, according to data from ICIS.
