Versalis's cracker at Dunkirk, France still down after failed restart

LONDON (ICIS)--Versalis’s cracker at Dunkirk, France remains down having failed to restart earlier this week, a company source said on Friday.

The cracker went down unexpectedly around 20 February but the exact nature of the technical problem was not disclosed.

Another market source said that restart had been delayed by a week.

The cracker has the capacity to produce 380,000 tonnes/year of ethylene and 210,000 tonnes/year of propylene, according to ICIS data.
