SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s CPC Corp is operating its two naphtha crackers at around 95% capacity in March, similar to February’s run rates, a company source said on Monday.
CPC has a 500,000 tonne/year No 5 naphtha cracker in Kaohsiung and a 385,000 tonne/year No 4 naphtha cracker in Linyuan, which is scheduled for maintenance in the third quarter of the year.
A new 600,000 tonne/year No 6 naphtha cracker at the producer's Linyuan site is on track to come on stream at the earliest in July 2013.
The new plant will replace CPC’s 230,000 tonne/year No 3 naphtha cracker at the same site, which was mothballed in June 2012.
