SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China is estimated to have imported 742,000 tonnes of combined polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in February, down by 43% from the previous month, local traders said over the weekend.
Some 442,000 tonnes of PE and 300,000 tonnes of PP were brought into the country in that month, they said.
Comparing the numbers with the official data for January imports, February 2013 PE imports decreased by 42%, while PP imports were down by 44%, traders said.
China Customs' data on February imports will be released on around 24 March.
