LONDON (ICIS)--Indian manufacturer Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has awarded its first ammonia tender of 2013 to Qatar's Muntajat, market sources revealed on Tuesday.
The 8,000-tonne tender was awarded at $590/tonne (€454/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) Cochin (Kochi) and the shipment must arrive in west coast India by 20 March.
The only other firm to bid for the tender was trading group Transammonia (Trammo) which offered at $625/tonne CFR Cochin.
Doha-based Muntajat (Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Co) took over the marketing, sales and distribution activities of Qatar Fertiliser Co (Qafco) earlier this month.
