LONDON (ICIS)--Recent tyre-plant closures, demand expectations and short-term forecasts will likely be high on the agenda at the International Rubber Conference (IRC) in Paris next week.
"The recent Goodyear and Bridgestone announcements are likely to be high on the agenda," an industrial rubber producer said.
It added that most likely delegates will focus on how to improve sales and demand in Europe and what effect falling tyre sales will have on the synthetic rubber market. Talks will also centre on forecasts for 2013 and feedstock developments.
The IRC event will attract about 100 manufacturers from the synthetic rubber industry and it represents about 80% of the sector's turnover, a statement by the organisers said.
The event runs from 20-22 March.
