TOKYO (ICIS)--Japanese naphtha imports for ethylene production in February decreased by 7.6% month on month to 1.09m tonnes, official data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed on Thursday.
In value terms, the country’s naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector totalled $1.05bn (€808.5m) in February, a 7.1% decline from the previous month, according to the data.
The average price of naphtha was $968.40/tonne – a 1.4% month on month increase, the data showed.
