Dow begins planned Europe ethylene oxide turnaround

LONDON (ICIS)--Dow Chemical has begun a planned turnaround at its ethylene oxide (EO) plant in Terneuzen, the Netherlands, a company source said on Thursday.

The turnaround began on 12 March and is due to end on 16 April, the source added.

The plant has a nameplate EO capacity of 165,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS data.

European EO producers include Shell, INEOS Oxide, BASF, Clariant, Sasol, Dow Chemical, IQA, PKN Orlen and AkzoNobel.
