SINGAPORE(ICIS)--China’s Jilin Petrochemical plans to shut its 106,000 tonne/year No 2 acrylonitrile (ACN) plant for maintenance at Jilin city in Jilin province, a company source said on Tuesday.
The shutdown will start from early April, which may last for about 10 days, the source said.
The No 2 unit is running at 80% of capacity at present, according to the source.
The company owns four separate units at the same site with a total capacity of 452,000tonne/year. The No 3 and No 4 unit, both with a capacity of 120,000tonnes/year, are also operating at 80% of capacity, the source added.
The company is planning a maintenance shutdown in May for the No 3 and No 4 units at the same time for 10-15 days, the source added without stating the exact shutdown date.
The 106,000tonne/year No 1 unit remains shut, the source said.
