SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China-based Shandong Inner Mongolia Yihua on 19 March restarted its 360,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant at Wuhai in Inner Mongolia province following a turnaround, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant was shut on 14 March for equipment maintenance, according to the source.
The company is now ramping up the plant’s operating rate, the source said without elaborating further on its current run rate.
Shandong Inner Mongolia Yihua was running the plant at 80% of capacity before the turnaround, the source added.
The current prices of quoted by the producer were yuan (CNY) 6,400/tonne ($1,029/tonne) EXWH (ex-warehouse) east China, unchanged from 13 March, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
