LONDON (ICIS)--Russian ethanolamines producer Sintez will run its two ethanolamine units in Dzerzhinsk at full rates during April and May ahead of a planned shutdown in June, a company source confirmed on Wednesday.
Describing production in Dzerzhinsk, the Sintez source said: “During the whole month [of March] our main unit was running at 100%, but we only used 50% capacity [on the smaller until] due to limitations on raw materials.
“We will start preparations for our shutdown wihich is scheduled in June. We will run at 100% in April and May on both lines,” the source added.
Sintez has two units at its Dzerzhinsk site. The largesthas the capacity to produce 25,000 tonnes/year of ethanolamines and the the smaller, older facility can produce 15,000 tonnes/year.
