SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hanxing Energy & Technology plans to start building a 1m cubic metre/day gas liquefaction plant at Ji’ning in Shandong province in the second half of 2013, a company source said on Thursday.
The plant will mainly process natural gas supplied through PetroChina’s second West-East gas pipeline, the source said.
The project is currently going through environmental assessments.
Details on target markets of liquefied natural gas (LNG) outputs and related facilities on storage and transportation have not been determined yet, added the source.
Hanxing Energy & Technology, located in Shanghai municipality, is largely engaged in the processing of coal-bed methane and coal gas into liquefied and compressed forms.
