LONDON (ICIS)--Ukraine's chemical industry remains in decline with its output dropping 22.1% year on year in February, Raiffeisen Research said on Friday.
The month also saw overall industrial production in Ukraine fall 6% year on year on the back of a sharp drop in energy production possibly explained by milder weather, said Dmytro Sologub, an analyst at the unit, a subsidiary of Austria-based Raiffeisen Bank International.
Ukraine's chemical industry, along with many other export-oriented sectors, have been badly hit by the European economic downturn, the bank said.
