SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ICIS)--Market sources said on Sunday that they see the global automotive market growing by about 1% for 2013.
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Petrochemical Conference (IPC), sources also said that they see full-year global automotive growth accelerating in 2014 by 4-5%, year over year.
“This year is going to be relatively flat, globally” said one source. “But we’re seeing indicators that 2014 will be better.”
US auto sales rose in February to some in at a 15.4m unit annual rate, while sales in Europe were down 10%.
Hosted by the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), the IPC continues through Tuesday.
