SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao shut its 100,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone plant on 25 March for scheduled turnaround, a company source said late on Monday.

The plant, which is located at Pudong of Shanghai, will be off line for about 45 days, the source added.

Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao has a separate 60,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone unit at the same site, and it is operating at full capacity.

Its other phenol/acetone unit at Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park in Caojing, with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year, is also operating at full capacity.
