SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ICIS)--Helm has signed an exclusive agreement with Shell Chemicals to distribute monopropylene glycol (MPG) in Europe, the German-based company said on Tuesday.
The agreement went into effect on 1 January, when Helm said it began selling Shell’s entire available MPG supply for the European market.
A Helm representative confirmed details of the agreement on the sidelines of the International Petrochemical Conference (IPC) in San Antonio.
MPG is used in antifreeze and functional fluids, unsaturated polyester resins (UPR), cosmetics and personal care products, liquid detergents and dog food.
Hosted by the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), the IPC closes on Tuesday.
