SINGAPORE (ICIS)--An earthquake of around 6.1 magnitude struck central Taiwan on Wednesday morning, according to the country’s Central Weather Bureau, but there have been no damages or casualties.
The earthquake occurred near Nantou county at 10:03 hours local time (02:03 GMT) at a depth of around 15.4 kilometres (km), the bureau said.
The quake swayed buildings in Taipei, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damages, according to local media.
