SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Nan Ya Plastics will restart its 360,000 tonne/year No 1 monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit in Mailiao on 29-30 March after the completion of maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The No 1 MEG plant was shut on 21-22 March to fix remaining technical issues, the source said.
The unit was running at 80-90% capacity prior to the shutdown, the source added.
Nan Ya Plastics lowered operating rates at the MEG plant in late January, because a technical fault at a heater caused temperatures at the unit to rise.
