NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Wednesday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: May WTI: $95.92/bbl, down 42 cents/bbl. May BRENT: $109.74/bbl, up 38 cents/bbl
ICE Brent crude oil futures strengthened on Wednesday supported by firmer stock markets in Asia, however the gains were capped by concerns over capital controls in Cyprus.

NAPHTHA: $900-901/tonne, up $16/tonne on the low end, up $15/tonne on the high end
The cargo range was assessed up from Tuesday evening on higher crude oil prices and a firmer crack spread. April swaps were assessed at $893-894/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,250-1,260/tonne, down $20/tonne
April traded several times this morning at $1,255/tonne, with continued bearishness weighing down on the domestic outlook ahead of the monthly contract settlement.

STYRENE: $1,640-1,650/tonne, down $5/tonne
April was valued lower this morning in line with benzene and subdued spot activity. May was flat with April.
