LONDON (ICIS)--BASF SONATRACH PropanChem’s (BSP) joint-venture propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Tarragona, Spain, is running again, following planned and unplanned maintenance work, said a company source on Wednesday.

The facility has been running normally again since Monday 25 March, added the source.

The unit had been scheduled to undergo a 45-day maintenance during the first quarter of 2013, but was taken off line two weeks earlier than planned in February, because of technical problems.

The nameplate capacity of the PDH unit is 350,000 tonnes/year, according to the ICIS plants and projects database.

BASF SONATRACH  PropanChem is a 50:50 joint venture between Germany’s BASF and Algerian oil and gas producer SONATRACH.
