HOUSTON (ICIS)--US aromatics trade sources said on Wednesday that they expect the April benzene contract to settle on Thursday, ahead of the Good Friday holiday when most participants are expected to be out of the market.
Trade participants said this past weekend that they expect the April benzene contract settlement to come down on the back of improved supply conditions and a weaker overseas market.
The March benzene contract price was settled at $4.69/gal ($1,404/tonne, €1,095/tonne) FOB, down by 11 cents/gal from the previous month.
